Privacy and safety

This page is the short version. For the full legal documents, use the links at the bottom.

What The Wall Stores

Participants join with a display name and can submit reflections, replies, reactions, votes, images, and other content inside a wall. Facilitators create walls with a name, subtitle, URL slug, and an access PIN.

The app stores shared wall data in Firebase so everyone on the same wall can see updates in real time.

AI And Service Providers

The Wall can use outside providers to generate reflections, summaries, images, moderation decisions, transcripts, and other AI-assisted outputs. Depending on configuration, those providers can include Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, and Recraft.

The app itself is hosted on Vercel, and related infrastructure such as Firebase and Google services may process data needed to run the product.

Voice And Listening

If someone uses voice input, or if a facilitator enables ambient listening, microphone audio may be processed to create transcript text and derived wall content. Transcript text and related outputs can be stored in the wall.

The app is not intended to keep a permanent raw-audio library in its own database, but microphone-based features still involve audio capture and third-party processing while they run.

Browser Storage And Facilitator Access

Participant display names and some interface preferences are saved in local browser storage. Facilitator login uses a secure browser cookie so admin controls stay open after PIN entry.

If you clear browser storage or cookies, those local settings will be removed from that device.

Who Controls The Wall

Each wall has a facilitator PIN. Facilitators can moderate posts, manage sessions, review transcripts, delete content, and remove an entire wall.

Participants do not have standalone accounts in this version of the product.
